TECHNIQUES OF USING THE MOUSE

Pointing= in have the mouse to position the mouse pointer over the items on the desktop or window. 


Clicking= pressing and releasing left mouse button

Double clicking= press and release the LEFT mouse button twice a time quickly.

Dragging the direction=point to an item then press the left mouse button to move to you want.

PARTS OF WINDOWS:

Most windows have certain elements in common such as TITLE BAR and MENU. Not all windows However have every elements.

CONNECTING A COMPUTER SYSTEM UNIT AND IT'S PERIPHERAL DEVICES

{I} Read message displayed by the monitor.

{ii} Disconnect keyboard and then start again the system to recognize error message.

CREATING NEW FILDFO:

Folder is used to store files and documents

i. Click on the start button,

ii. Slide the mouse pointer to program,

iii.click on the window explorer to display the disc structure,

iv. Select the location e.g. my doc , drive C: or 3½ Floppy A: the click on file menu.

v. On the FILE MENU Select NEW, the NEW FOLDER when appeared click click it

vi. Types the name of the folder so that it will represent the usefully name for your folder. 

Renaming files/folder

  1. Click on start button
  2. Slide the mouse pointer to program
  3. Click window explorer to display the disk structure
  4. Right click on the files or folder you want to rename
  5. From the pop up menu click on the rename options command
  6. Type in the name you want and to finish mouse button anywhere on screen.
