 Today am sharing with you how you can calculate the sum and average of marks in the Microsoft excel. 

The easy way to calculate the sum and average of some data is by use Microsoft excel. Let me start to show you how you can perform this task. 

Open Microsoft excel in your computer by clicking window button in your keyboard or by clicking window menu left down corner of your monitor. The sub menu will display then in the searching box search for Microsoft excel then open or after open window button click all program many folder of computer program will display then find for Microsoft office folder and open it.After open the Microsoft office program folder the collection of Microsoft office programs will display. Open Microsoft excel by clicking Microsoft excel program. The workbook will open. 

Start to write your data in the workbook. But after open Microsoft excel the active cell I A1 and active sheet is sheet one you can write your data from active cell of by changing active cell by clicking the cell you need to be active for writing your data  enter all your required in your work  see the diagram below You can format your work by changing font type. Font size bold italic and font color.

How to change font in Microsoft excel?The simple way to change fonts in Microsoft excel select a cells which you need to change font. Click home button in a ribbon by default the font set is Calibri lick drop down arrow choose font you want to use. But most of people use times new roman font in the work. And standard size of words 12 is useful size In your work add row or column of sum and average in order to use for display sum and average of your data marks from your table see the diagram below

 The simple way of calculating sum from data is calculating by auto sum formula. The auto sum formula is performed by clicking the cell which you need the answer to appear and selecting row or column which you need to get the total marks of a student. Click home button of Microsoft excel then in the right upside go to summation symbol click drop down arrow and the list will display choose sum. 

The sum of selected data will display in the cell which you are chosen before selecting data  In order to get the sum each remains student at once. Go to the cell which have answer of the first student right down a cell which contain answer point the mouse pointer will display bolded plus sign (+) drag and drop to all student the auto sum formula of all student will automatically written to all student and sum of each student will display.

How to calculate average by auto sumTo calculate average of each student click cell which you wish to display the average of the first student. Then select all mark of the first student .Go to summation symbol upright of the worksheet click dropdown arrow then choose average.In order to get the average each remains student at once. Go to the cell which have answer of the first student right down a cell which contain answer point the mouse pointer will display bolded plus sign (+) drag and drop to all student the auto sum formula of all student will automatically written to all student and the average of each student will display.
